These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SDS.guide, operated by [Operator legal name](“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the site on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company, and “you” refers to the company.

1. The service

SDS.guidehosts a shared library of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and lets companies assemble “binders” — collections of SDS documents made available to their employees at a public web address and QR code. Uploaded documents are processed into a standardized summary view; the original PDF is stored and remains available.

2. Safety and compliance disclaimer — read this section carefully

The standardized view is a convenience summary generated by automated (including AI-based) extraction. It may contain errors or omissions. The manufacturer's original SDS is the authoritative document at all times.

  • SDS.guide is a document-hosting and viewing tool. It is not a substitute for a hazard-communication program, safety training, or professional safety, medical, or legal advice.
  • You remain solely responsible for your own regulatory compliance (including OSHA HazCom / WHMIS / CLP or other applicable regimes), including verifying that each SDS in your binder is the correct, current document for the products you actually use.
  • In an emergency, call your local emergency number or poison control. Do not rely solely on this site.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your content and the shared library

  • When you upload or import an SDS, you represent that you are entitled to share it. (Manufacturers are generally required to distribute SDSs freely with their products.)
  • Uploaded documents are added to the shared public library: they become searchable and viewable by anyone, and other companies may add them to their binders. Do not upload documents you are not permitted to make public.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process (including automated extraction), display, and distribute uploaded documents for the purpose of operating the service.
  • If you believe a document infringes your rights, contact us at [contact email] and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.

5. Acceptable use

  • No uploading content that is unlawful, malicious, or not an SDS or closely related safety document.
  • No attempting to probe, disrupt, or overload the service, or to access other companies' accounts.
  • No scraping at volumes that degrade the service; no reselling the service without our written consent.

6. Availability

The service is provided free of charge and on an “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue it at any time. Keep your own copies of your SDS documents — do not treat this site as your only record.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of liability
